Space Needle Case Materials Packs

For a while now I’ve been unable to restock materials packs – following Brexit it’s become harder to buy beads at wholesale prices, and if I’m honest, it’s also been hard to find the time required to put together packs. Each set usually involves sourcing beads from my own stash and several different suppliers, all the while shopping around for the best price or a reliable source, then there’s the time taken to actually make the packs up. I’m pretty efficient with the latter but the former was really quite hard work before Brexit, and then got a whole lot harder, and if I’m honest I’d fallen out of love with the whole process as a result.

However, I still get requests for packs, particularly for my classic old favourites the Baroque Tape Measure and the Space Needle Case, so I decided to try to see if I could source all of the required parts as a bit of a treat. Needle Cases were easier to get hold of (the tape measures need to come from Hoechstmass in Germany) so I’m happy to say that I now have a full set of both sizes in all four colourways available in my Etsy shop.

This did clear me out of beads in a few instances, so they won’t be restocked for a while – grab them while you can. Once I’ve shifted some of these I’ll move on the Baroque Tape Measure next, so if there is a colourway (old or new) that you’re interested in, please let me know.

For the Space Needle sets I only had enough Swarovski rivolis for the Fuchsia colourway – I was though able to get some really gorgeous Aurora rivolis for the other colours, including a brilliant patina (which was always too expensive for packs when I was using Swarovski) – the prices have been adjusted accordingly to account for the lower price of the Aurora. The Patina Iris kits are slightly more as they include the gorgeous 2008 Matte Metallic Patina Iris Miyuki seeds – they cost well over twice as much as most of the others, and as they’re the main colour so need a big bag of beads, I’ve had to push the price up a little on that colourway to keep things fair.

If you’d like to recreate any of these colourways without the expense of a pack, that’s fine – they’re all listed openly here (as are many of the colourways for other designs and packs). And of course the tutorial is available in my Etsy and PayHip shops as an instant download.
